Licensed Practical Nurse (Telehealth Clinical Technician)

Providing nursing care for adults with population specific needs by incorporating pertinent physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs into the patient plan of care. Assisting the registered nurse, physician, or licensed independent provider in addressing patient's needs for medications/treatments. Performing treatments and procedures. Assisting the registered nurse, physician, and/or licensed independent provider to appropriately prioritize overall patient care needs and adjusting plans for care delivery. Performing telehealth imaging, including teleretinal screening, teledermatology, telewound care, and other telehealth programming as technology becomes available. Initiating consultations for patients on behalf of the primary care provider. Facilitating the clinical, business, scheduling, and technical aspects for real-time telehealth applications, including, telemental health, primary care telehealth, telerehabilitation, and telepatient education clinics. Using video-conferencing technologies, telehealth technology, and scheduling software to coordinate and connect staff, resources, patients and providers. Coordinating and working with Biomedical and Information Technology staff for the installation and upgrade of hardware and software for all telehealth technologies. Providing instruction, training, and resources on the use of advanced telehealth technologies to patients, staff, and providers for the delivery of care using telehealth technologies. Serving as the telepresenter for specialty service clinical video telehealth (CVT) appointments Performing other collateral duties as assigned. Work Schedule:

United States Citizenship:

Must be a graduate of school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate State agency and/or accredited by the National League for Nursing. (Education will be waived for current VHA employees who were converted to appointments under 38 U.S.C. 7401(3) in implementation of Public Law 98-160, enacted November 21, 1983, and for VHA employees converted to appointments under 38 U.S.C. 7405 in implementation of Public Law 99-576, enacted October 28, 1986. Experience:
Experience working in a community based outpatient clinic setting Experience with performing teleretinal imaging, teledermatology, or as a telepresenter for clinical video telehealth appointments Grade Determinations:
GS-07:
Must possess at least one year of qualifying experience at the GS-6 level or equivalent. You must fully meet all performance requirements for the GS-6 LPN/LVN or equivalent and your resume must fully support this. Examples of experience include proficiency in initiating, performing and completing assigned duties in providing care to variable patient populations, knowledge and ability to appropriately carry out assigned patient care based on patients' conditions; selecting the appropriate order and sequence of procedures and treatments; completed work only needs a general review by a registered nurse or physician; preparing and administering prescribed medications (oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular and/or intravenous); recognizing urgent or emergent patient care situations, seeking assistance of the RN and/or MD/DO, and initiating appropriate emergency interventions as directed; and performing duties for complex diagnostic tests and/or specialized practices or procedures. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The work requires long periods of standing and walking. There is some bending while using the telehealth equipment and for positioning patients. Patient mental status and physical habitus will require the incumbent to be able to assist patients during transfer that is required for examinations. The position may require up traveling to other community based outpatient clinic sites to provide patient care with prolonged sitting during the travel time.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
