Description
Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and preventative maintenance systems and process to support the achievement of the sites business goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
Ability to diagnose problems for facility and production equipment and make needed repairs and the ability to install new equipment.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production and facility equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production and facilities equipment during machine service.
Utilize continuous improvement tools such as 5S, 5 Why, Perfect Execution and Lean Manufacturing concepts to improve the overall OEE of equipment.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, flow charts, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, and blue prints.
Must have the ability to use electrical formulas and other handbook formulas necessary to diagnose problems.
Ability to connect to PLC's using the maintenance PC system and do basic programming and troubleshooting.
Must be able to use gages, tools and equipment required for equipment problem diagnosis in the disciplines listed above. Must also be able to use required equipment and tools to facilitate repairs.
Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. Assist with determining preventative maintenance schedules as needed.
Requisition replacement parts through MRO or send out damaged/worn parts as required.
Train and mentor less experienced maintenance personnel.
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Ability to record and document in CMMS system.
Adheres to all safety guidelines such as Lockout/Tagout, machine guarding, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. as per OSHA guidelines and Emerson policies. Maintain compliance with all EPA guidelines.
Requirements
Associate degree in an engineering related discipline, or
Recognition as a journeyman in a related field, or
Certified technician in related field or
High school graduate (or GED) with advanced courses in math and experience in five of the following disciplines:
hydraulics/pneumatics, electrical, electronics, welding, refrigeration, mechanical, and power transmission.
A minimum of five (5) years experience in industrial maintenance.
