Mancan is looking for a self-motivated, innovative, quality, focused, hands-on associate to join our Safety & Environmental Team for one of our customers!
Essential functions of the position are as follows:
Recommend, coordinate and implement plant wide safety practices, procedures, and policies.
Promote continuous awareness of safety and health requirements to drive safety behaviors of the associates while maintaining production, quality and cost objectives.
Work with Operations leaders to establish health and safety objectives for all areas.
Oversee plant accident investigations and ensure the appropriate actions are taken to correct unsafe conditions or behaviors.
Maintain OSHA records and required reporting.
Maintain regulatory compliance and safety management systems.
Oversee health and safety training programs, such as Hazard Communication, Lock Out/ Tag Out, and Confined Space.
Requirements:
Minimum of 1-3 years experience in Safety & Environmental (in a manufacturing or automotive manufacturing facility a plus)
Strong written and oral communications.
Self motivated, able to maintain confidentiality and operate with a high level of integrity.
Knowledge of OSHA & BWC standards.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
